“Pacific Village shows what's possible when every level of government works together to turn vacant properties into homes for people who need them most.” — San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria
As general contractor for the San Diego Housing Commission, we transformed a former Midway District motel into Pacific Village — 62 furnished studio apartments for San Diegans exiting homelessness, including veterans and transition-age youth. Over more than a year of construction, we installed kitchenettes in every unit, added fire sprinkler and alarm systems, replaced the roof and plumbing fixtures, installed rooftop solar with battery storage, and completed accessibility, security, and life-safety upgrades throughout. The $13M+ rehabilitation, funded in part by California's Homekey program, opened in fall 2025 to praise from Mayor Todd Gloria and city, county, and state officials.
