Project Overview

In downtown San Diego, we served as general contractor for the San Diego Housing Commission's rehabilitation of the historic Hotel Sandford — a 1914, four-story building that provides 130 affordable apartments for low-income seniors. Working through the COVID-19 pandemic with residents living on site, we delivered structural repairs, basement waterproofing, exterior restoration, rooftop solar, elevator upgrades, renovated common areas, electrical upgrades, and accessibility improvements throughout the occupied building — absorbing a documented 261-day pandemic delay and still delivering for the seniors who call it home. A $2.3M project that demanded care in every sense.
