• Repair of storm damage to the historic Crystal Pier following the January 2023 storms (City-owned and City-leased sections, Bents 11/12–51) • Removal, replacement, and in-kind repair of approximately 64 damaged, missing, broken, or detached timber horizontal and diagonal braces and their connections to the timber piles and deck (bolts, nuts, washers) • Supply and install replacement heavy timber beams and braces • Deck-level fall-arrest/davit rigging to stage carpenters for beam replacement • Deck repairs and power-washing of the pier
• Preserving a beloved San Diego coastal landmark while working over open water in surf conditions
